Erin Donovan - Head Coach and Program
Director
Erin is starting her 7th year as the head coach of the
Hockettes and as Director of the Ann Arbor FSC Synchronized Skating
Program. In her time with the team she has coached the team Junior
team to National titles in 2005 and 2007. and earned two trips to the
World Challenge Cup for Juniors. Erin has earned her Master rating
in synchronized team skating from the P.S.A and was named the
Synchronized Team Coach of the Year in 2005 by the same organization.
Erin graduated from Miami University in 2001 where she
was a member of the Miami University Senior Varsity Synchronized Skating
Team from 1997-2001. She earned her Novice Synchronized Judges
Appointment and judged the 2002 Pacific Coast Sectionals before starting
her coaching career in Ann Arbor.
Mary Reilly - General Manager
Mary has been part of the Hockettes since 1988
when she started as a team manager. She has been General
Manager for over 10 years and is an invaluable asset to the
Hockettes organization. She is founder and co-chair of the Dr.
Porter Synchro Classic and serves on the AAFSC Board of Directors.
Alison Reilly
Alison has been working with the Hockettes as the
assistant coach for the Junior team since 1995. She has been
skating since the age of 5 and has skated/competed in freestyle,
figures, field moves, dance, and synchronized team skating,
including international senior level synchronized skating teams. She has helped the
team earn medals at 10 consecutive National Championships and trips to
the World Challenge Cup for Juniors in 2002, 2005 and 2006.
Sarah Rominsky
Sarah is starting her 5th season with the
Hockettes. In her first season, she took the Pre-juvenile team
to a 3rd place finish at the Midwestern Sectional Championships,
helped the Junior team achieve their first ever National title, and
started a senior team taking the all the way to the National
Championships. In her 2nd season, she coached the Pre-juvenile
team to a silver medal finish and helped the Junior team achieve 6th
place in the world as well as taking the Senior team to the National
Championships. She has worked with the Hockettes preliminary
team and last season led our Pre-juvenile team to a Bronze Medal
finish at the Midwestern Sectional Championships.
Sarah has earned a Registered rating in synchronized team skating
and sports science from the Professional Skaters Association
Nicole Falardeau
Nicole has been with the Hockettes since 1997.
During that time she has coached the Novice team to several trips to
the National Championships. Nicole has competed in
synchronized skating at the Senior level and in 2003 competed in the
World Synchronized Skating Championships.
Nicole runs off-ice training and conditioning programs for both the
Hockettes synchronized teams and the Ann Arbor FSC.
Heather Lutz
Heather is entering her 4th season as coach of
the Hockettes Beginner team. Last season she led the Beginner
2 team to earn medals at three competitions. Heather competed
with the University of Michigan Collegiate team in 2000 and the
Hockettes Senior team in 2005.
Kristen Gazaui
2008-2009 marks Kristen's 2nd season as a
Hockettes coach. She was a member of the National Champion
Junior Hockettes team in 2006-2007 and has competed internationally
with Hockettes. She has passed her Senior Moves in the Field
test, and Senior Free Skating Test.
Jeri Stroupe
Jeri is beginning her first season as a Hockettes
Coach. In 2003 she earned an Honorable mention on the USFSA
Chevrolet Scholastic Honors team and was captain of the 2003 Team
Elan international team. She has completed four years skating
on the Miami University Senior team, and was named the team's Rookie
of the Year in 2004. She has completed her Gold Moves in the
Field, Gold Freestyle and International Dance Tests.
Lia DiCicco
Lia began synchro skating in 1996 with Team du Coeur.
She has competed at the Intermediate, Novice and Junior synchro
levels, earning a gold medal at the 2006 Junior Worlds qualifier as
a member of the Hockettes team. Lia holds her Senior Moves in the Field, Silver
Dances and Juvenile
Freestyle.
Gina Danene Thompson
Gina is a graduate of Central Michigan University
and San Francisco City College of Dance. Her techniques
include Graham and Horton based Modern, Afro-Haitian, Classical
Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap and Street Funk. Gina brings her
experience in choreography and group presentation. She works
with Hockettes on classical ballet, Pilates and Hip Hop.
